The Coronation Night of Miss Earth 2010 will take place at Vinpearl Resort & Spa, Nha Trang, Vietnam on December 4. So, why will the important night of the international beauty contest be held in Vinpearl?
. Miss Earth 2010 with slogan “Beauties for a Cause”
Despite being organized as an annual international beauty contest only for 10 years, Miss Earth is one of the three largest ones in the world now (following Miss World and Miss Universe). The success partly thanks to its slogan “Beauties for a Cause”, which aims to raise people’s awareness of protecting environment.
Like previous years, Miss Earth 2010 in Vietnam is carried out to assure that each of the participating candidates are not just physically beautiful, but environmentally knowledgeable. During pre-finals weeks, in many places of Vietnam like Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Phu Yen and Hoi An, 84 beauties from all over the world have joined a number of environment protection such as attending seminar about environment protection in universities, planting trees, parading by bike and even picking trash up at dumps.

. Vinpearl’s aims
Miss Earth 2010 prolongs one month with many activities in big cities of Vietnam. However, its most important event, the Coronation Night, will be held at Vinpearl, Nha Trang.
In recent year, Vinpearl has been well-known not only as “The Tropical Paradise”, but a host of cultural events of national and international stature as well. Cooperating with Thanh Nien newspaper, Thanh Nien Media Corporation and Carousel Productions Inc. to hold Miss Earth 2010, Vinpearl aims to propagandize people and sights of Vietnam, creating opportunities to develop tourism and introducing Vietnamese culture, especially the images of Vinpearl to the world. But the main reason the resort determined to host this beauty contest is its meaning of “Beauties for a case”. This slogan is the same with Vinpearl’s message, which supports environment protection.

“Vietnam is one of the five countries seriously forecast to be damaged from climate changes. Moreover, environment protection is an urgent issue all over the world. Therefore, we hope Miss Earth 2010 is a very meaningful event to support and raise people’s awareness of protecting environment. This is also the message Vietnam wants to send to the world in effort of protecting environment for firm development. As a development strategy, Vinpearl always orients to build up a green and high-class brand name in the world’s tourism market. To achieve these objectives, Vinpearl is making it green like the message of Miss Earth “Beauties for A Cause””, said Le Khac Hiep, Vingroup’s Vice-president.
