The second Khanh Hoa Beach Volleyball Tournament, organized successfully recently, has confirmed the position of beach volleyball in sports movement in the province.
The provincial beach volleyball tournament this year was participated by 8 men’s teams and 7 women’s from the localities, namely Cam Ranh, Cam Lam, Nha Trang,Dien Khanh and Ninh Hoa and the provincial Youth Union.
Like last year the tournament aimed to maintain and develop beach volleyball in units as well as localities in the province, especially in Nha Trang and Cam Ranh.
In comparison with last year, the tournament this year saw improvement in quantity and quality of players. All the players practiced hard and made good preparations for the tournament.

Although there were many national sports events simultaneously in the province but all matches of the volleyball tournament on the beach have a number of supporters, which proved that beach volleyball has found a position in the province’s sports development movement.
In the women’s event, Vo Thi Hong Na and Le Thi Anh Tuyet overcame many rivals and won the champion Nha Trang in the final match to get the championship. In the men’s event, Truong Huynh Nhu Thu and Ngo Ngoc Vu from Cam Ranh defeated Vo Huu Tram and Doan Viet Tan from Ninh Hoa with the score 2-0 to become the winner.
“The attendance of all localities and the improvement of the level has showed the quick development of beach volleyball in Khanh Hoa Province. Most of the matches played well this year. The players really have conquered the spectators”, said Nguyen Duc Son, an official of the provincial Department ò Culture, Sports and Tourism.
