To improve the quality of physical exercise & sport in Khanh Hoa, more investment in sporting infrastructures is required.
According to the sport development plan of Khanh Hoa Province from now to 2020, Khanh Hoa sport sector will achieve significant achievements contributing to the provincial socio-economic growth. Khanh Hoa Sport strives to become one of 15 national leading sport centers. From 8 to 10 athletes will advance to the national team.

All the targets are expected to be fulfilled. Football, indoor volleyball and beach volleyball are among successful sports.
Nguyen Van Hoa, the Vice Director of the Department of Culture, Sport & Tourism says, “The most difficult now is the lack of sporting infrastructures, including stadiums, multipurpose sports venues, and supporting facilities."
There are no multipurpose sport hall in the districts of Dien Khanh, Ninh Hoa and Cam Lam. There are no stadium in the districts of Khanh Vinh, Khanh Son and Cam Lam. The sporting infrastructures in Cam Ranh, Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa and Dien Khanh have been downgraded.
Besides limited fund for sport activities and events, Khanh Hoa sport is lacking in human force development strategy, especially policies to attract young talents.
For 10 years, many athletes in Khanh Hoa have quitted their sport to take other work or play for other communities.
Sport and socio-economic often go hand-in-hand as sport can contribute to social cohesion and is an effective channel for the provincial socio-economic development.
Therefore, suitable polices with solutions to the problems are required to improve the quality of sporting activities in Khanh Hoa Province.
