Training young players and developing movements is the tendency of Khanh Hoa Province in the time to come.

Starting again from the beginning

2012 was a remarkable year to football of Khanh Hoa Province .

When Khatoco Khanh Hoa football club of the province was transfered to Hai Phong Province on December 10, 2012, many people questioned about future of the king sport in the province in the coming time.

Deputy Director of the provincial of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hoa said, “Khanh Hoa football heads toward the young team and movement activities to start again from the beginning. The loss of professional football this period is a timely stop. Football of Khanh Hoa Province will rise again from movements.”

Focusing on movements and young players

Looking back to the development road, Khanh Hoa’s football can be proud of its history. When the country was just liberated, Khanh Hoa had some strong football teams such as Nha Trang Youth, Dien Khanh District and Cam Ranh District  with many famous players such as Nguyen Van Uong, Nguyen Van Chien, Duong Quang Ho, Duong Quang Vinh and Hoang Van Tan. Even, when Khatoco Khanh Hoa rose up to professional level in 2003, most the players such as Tan Tai, Quang Hai and Van Phong grew up from movements.

During the past five years, football movement of Khanh Hoa Province has developed strongly. The most outstanding is Futsal tournament of businesses and artificial grass grounds. Up to now, the province has about 50 artificial grass grounds, including 30 in Nha Trang, 4 in Cam Ranh, 6 in Ninh Hoa and 6 in Dien Khanh with hundreds of movement teams and clubs.

Each year, businesses and organizations hold many movement football events. Some of them are Futsal Championship – Sanna Cup, Futsal Tournament – Me Trang Cup and Mini Football Tournament – Larue Cup. Most of the events have been invested well and attracted a large number of participants. As a result, Khanh Hoa’s football has a good basement to start again.

To strengthen movements, Khanh Hoa will set up a football training center and facilitate futsal and artificial grass ground football in end March, 2013. To young players, the province will train them towards professional level in a suitable time.
