Doan Kien Quoc, the best player of Vietnamese table-tennis, has just returned to serve Khanh Hoa Province, which brings hope for the province’s table-tennis.
Doan Kien Quoc, born in 1979 in Nha Trang, started his career for Khanh Hoa Province and then became the best table-tennis player in Vietnam. He has represented Vietnam in Olympic for three times. After competing for the country for a long time, recently, Doan Kien Quoc has come back to his homeland and signed a contract with Khanh Hoa Sports Training Center to play for the province’s table-tennis team.
“I want to return to devote to Khanh Hoa Province where I was born and grew up and it’s a chance for me to live closer to many family. I have a desire to make a meaningful thing to show my gratitude to Khanh Hoa and my fans”, Quoc confided.

Quoc now is entrusted to raise performance of the province’s team in the national arena and work as a coach for younger players.
Nguyen Minh Dat, head coach of table-tennis, “I’m very glad with Doan Kien Quoc’s return. I believe that his appearance will refresh the team and improving achievement of the province’s table-tennis.”
“My duty this time is so great but I will do all my best to respond to expectations of the province’s authority and supporters”, Quoc confirmed.
Since Quoc arrived the team, the players have practiced more enthusiastically. His experience in competition in the national team have helped their practice sessions more lively and interesting.
Nguyen Dinh Minh Thu, the youngest player of the team said, “I will practice more to be able to play with Mr. Quoc.”
“Quoc has initially created an active change in the team. Now the players are competing with each other to play with him. This is a good sign for the coming improvement of the team”, Dat said.
