Encouraging sponsorships for sports events is a great duty of Khanh Hoa Province’s sport to forward movement sport in 2013.
In 2012, Khanh Hoa’s sport saw the strong development of movement activities which created high-quality playgrounds and attracted a large number of participants. Statistics show that the province currently has about 600 clubs of many sports, including football, badminton, tennis etc.
Annually, movement sports activities are granted about VND2.5 billion, including VND1.1 billion for organizing tournaments and the rest for other activities such as practice and award.
According to Nguyen Hai Son, an official of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, each year, the province organizes 18 – 20 movement events, funded partly by the State budget and mainly by sponsors that are businesses and individuals.

Remarkably, in 2012, over VND3 billion was contributed to organize sports tournaments at provincial, national and international levels. Some of them made high effects on the society and drew big participations, for example Vietnamese – Japanese International Half Marathon (VND200 million), U14 International Baseball Tournament (VND400 million), the National Beach Football Championship (VND30 million), Larue Cup Mini Football Tournament (VND500 million) and Sanna – Me Trang Futsal Tournament (VND300 million).
According to Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hoa, the sponsorships from businesses and individuals have created more playgrounds for movement sports and encouraged its development; therefore, in 2013, the province will consider calling this sponsorship source as an importance beside other duties.
