Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee Le Xuan Than on March 18 presided over a meeting with Asian Olympic Council about organization of the fifth Asian Beach Games in 2016 in Vietnam. The meeting was attended by Vice-chairman of the Asian Olympic Council Wei Ji Zhong and departments of culture, sports and tourism of provinces hosting the event.

At the meeting, the provinces reported their preparations for the events such as material facilities, traffic infrastructures, accommodations, volunteer force, press and communication.
On behalf of the Asian Olympic Council, Wei Ji Zhong highly appreciated the country’s supports and preparations for the event. He also contributed useful ideas for provinces in organization of sports.
The fifth Asian Beach Games in 2016 is scheduled to be held in Khanh Hoa (10 sports), Binh Thuan (3 sports) and Da Nang (4 sports).
