Two couples of players of Sanna Khanh Hoa beach volleyball team have chosen to compete the Asian Beach Volleyball to be held in Thailand from 1 to 17, April. This is a good chance for the players to develop international arena.
2012 was a successful year of Sanna Khanh Hoa Beach Volleyball when the players won the championship in men’s event and the second position in women’s event at the national beach volleyball tournament. After that, the couple of men Nguyen Trong Quoc - Nguyen Thanh Vinh and the couple of women Ngo Vo Thanh Loan - Nguyen Thi Nhung of the province’s team have been chosen to compete the beach volleyball tournament in Thailand along with two other couples from Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong. The tournament will be participated by about 30 couples of competitors from 16 countries and territories in Asia. The players of the event are professional and strong.

Dinh Quoc Dien, head coach of Sanna Khanh Hoa beach volleyball team, said, “This is a good chance for the province’s players to compete as a preparation for the Asian Beach Games to be organized in Nha Trang in the coming time.”
The coach also revealed that the province’s beach volleyball is always highly appreciated in national tournaments, especially two men’s couple Trong Quoc – Thanh Vinh are unbeatable. Obviously, the couple have preserved their championship in national tournaments for many years, keeping the first position at the ranking by Vietnam Volleyball Federation. Similarly, the couple of women Ngo Vo Thanh Loan – Nguyen Thi Nhung have showed their progress when getting the silver medal at the national event in 2012.
Vietnamese players are not expected to reach high result in the Asian beach volleyball tournament in Thailand as their level hasn’t caught up with those in the region despite the sharp improvement. The event is considered as a good environment for the players to practice and learn experience.
