The Asean Football Federation (AFF) has decided to invite Australia, Japan and Jordan to play in the Southeast Asian Women’s Championship 2013 held in Myanmar in September.
The decision aims to raise the competitiveness for the tournament and partly improve quality of women’s football in the region.
As planned, the tournament will take place on September 9 – 22. Vietnam is in Group A with Australia, Malaysia, Thailand and Jordan. In Group B, there will be Myanmar, Japan, Laos, Philippines and Indonesia.
