After more than 1 year becoming a subject in the provincial sports training center, Khanh Hoa dancesport has gained remarkable achievements. That successfulness has been greatly contributed by the couple Minh Duc – Hoang Quyen, who are considered as the ones setting the foundation for dancesport in Khanh Hoa.
After more than 1 year becoming a subject in the provincial sports training center, Khanh Hoa dancesport has gained remarkable achievements. That success has been greatly contributed by the couple Minh Duc – Hoang Quyen, who are considered as the ones setting the foundation for dancesport in Khanh Hoa.
In 2002, the young man Tran Minh Duc, living in Ho Chi Minh City then, started to practice dancesport and became passionate about it. Owning to his hard train together with his passion and gift, he has become a well-known dancer in Vietnam.
Then, he came to Khanh Hoa Province and met the beautiful girl Vo Pham Hoang Uyen in Nha Trang by chance, who was a student in his dancing class at that time. Gradually, they were in harmony with each other and became a talented dancing couple in the province.
The danesport requires a higher understanding between dancing partners than other kinds of dance. The partner in dancing has many meanings, featuring the nature of dancesport. It can be the partner (or dancing partner), and the leading and following role.

The dancing couple Minh Duc – Hoang Quyen won liking from audiences for their skilled techniques. From 2007 to 20011, this couple joined domestic and international dancing competitions as representatives of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. They took part in 3 - 4 tournaments every year, achieving 10 - 12 medals.
Khanh Hoa dancesport team was formed in early 2012. Dancer Minh Duc, appointed the head coach, together with his wife Hoang Quyen became the key dancing pair of the provincial team. At that time, Khanh Hoa had 3 dancing pairs who gained tens of medals right at the first year of competition. Most recently, in the end of August, 2013, Khanh Hoa dancesport won 6 sets of golden medals, 4 sets of silver medals in the national cup for dancesport clubs 2013 held in Hanoi.
Now, coach Tran Minh Duc and his students are preparing for the national dancesport championships and national open dancesport cup 2013 hold in Ho Chi Minh City from October 9 to 14, 2013. At this tournament, beside 3 official teams, Khanh Hoa will have other 4 dancing pairs in differential ages, aiming to exchange and improve dancing skill.
