With its first organization, Futsal tournament of Khanh Hoa tourism – Amiana Cup created a new useful playgound for tourism units and businesses.
The tournament for tourism units and businesses in the province, lasting from October 13 to 17, was held by Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in association with the sponsors. The tournament was joined by 8 squads including Sheraton, Sunrise, Hon Tam, Hoan Cau, Mai Linh and Havana. The teams were divided into two groups, competing in a round-robin format.
Although it was just a movement playground of units operating in the field of tourism, the strong competitions together with the tremendous cheer from the audience created an atmosphere which was as ebullient and attractive as other futsal tournaments in the province.
Reportedly, together with the development of sport in the province, some units and businesses operating in tourism field in Khanh Hoa Province have had strong investments in their sports activities. One of the tourism units who has strongly developed in futsal is Sheraton Hotel. Sheraton Hotel is also the champion of this year’s tournament.
Quoc Phong, player of Sheraton Hotel futsal team, said after their victory, “I hope there will be more useful playgrounds to create the condition for tourism units and businesses to develop their sports movement.”
The interesting thing of this year’s tournament was the attendance of some foreigners who were the hotels’ directors in the role of the training board’s member and the audience. They appeared in the stand of most of the matches to cheer on their squad, gave instructions to the players or even offered reward when their team got high achievement.
“Although it was the first tournament organized through the form of sports socialization, it showed a good investment from units and businesses operating in tourism field. I hope that this tournament will be held every year and become one of the tournaments of the provincial competition system,” said Nguyen Van Hoa, director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
