Nha Trang Center of Culture and Sports: typical unit of sports movement

While most of localities in Khanh Hoa Province are facing difficulties in sports activities, Nha Trang Center of Culture and Sports stands out as a typical unit in sports movement at level of district, town and city.

Beside its main function to organize and operate activities of culture and sports, visual propaganda in the city, the Nha Trang Center of Culture and Sports is also a place to build and develop public sports movement.
 
Nha Trang Center of Culture and Sports, 23,000 square meters, now comprises the city library, 150-seat cultural house, sports training & competing center and Hon Ro sports training area. In sports, the center now has adequate facility like training ground and coaches for all sports.

Nha Trang Sports Training & Competing Center includes one multi-purpose sports hall, one table tennis club, one bodybuilding club, three tennis courts, one volleyball training court and football ground. Hon Ro sports training area has one multi-purpose sports hall and one mini football ground.
 
Every year, Nha Trang Sports Training & Competing Center cooperates with the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the City People’s Committee and businesses to organize about 40 to 50 sports tournaments, creating useful playground for sports lovers. In addition, the center also opens sports classes for localities in the city. About 100,000 turns of people join sports activities held every year.
 
According to Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Director of Nha Trang Center of Culture and Sports, the center now has 34 officers, 16 of whom have university and college degree. Beside their working time in the center, most of them work as collaborators in sports tournament at provincial level.
 
Reportedly, in order to well organize sports movement activities and attract a large number of regular participants, beside appropriate assignments among officers, Nha Trang Center of Culture and Sports also focuses on improving the quality of facilities through form of socialization. The forming of some clubs such as bodybuilding club, table tennis club, fitness club and tennis club which were invested by organizations and individuals partly diversifies sports movement, raises fund for the center’s activities. They also delivery about over VND400 million to the budget every year.
 
“Nha Trang Center of Culture and Sports is one of the few units which have efficiently used cultural and sports institutions. In addition to the favourite factors such as being in the central area and being well invested in facilities, the center has staffs who are very devoted to the sports movement,” said Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
 
With its achievements, Nha Trang Center of Culture and Sports is appreciated as a typical unit in building and developing public sports movement in Khanh Hoa Province.
