Taking place from December 6 to 8, Khanh Hoa billiards clubs open tournament – AISA cup, held by the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attracted the attention of many people who like billiards. The tournament was participated by not only billiard players in Khanh Hoa Province but strong ones from other cities and provinces as well. The event got success beyond expectation. The success came from the excellent performances of billiard players from Vinh Long, Can Tho, Binh Dinh, etc.

According to the organization board, 100 billiards players from 18 clubs of 9 cities and provinces (namely, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Can Tho, Dak Lak, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Long, Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa) competed in one-cushion carom and three-cushion carom of team and movement.
Reportedly, except for three-cushion carom of movement which was the internal competition of Khanh Hoa’s players, the other events (three-cushion carom of team and one-cushion carom) were the competed by players from other provinces.
The players from Can Tho Province were prominent in three-cushion carom of team. Specifically, the two players Do Duc Hien and Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu won the championship and the second prize of this event respectively. Phan Quoc Huan of Khanh Hoa got the third prize.
In three-cushion carom of movement, the prizes came to three Khanh Hoa’s billiards clubs, including Win Dien Khanh, ASIA and Son Sport.
In this tournament, the one-cushion carom event was the most attractive. Through the good performances of the players from Binh Dinh, Can Tho and Vinh Long, the players of Khanh Hoa had an opportunity to open eyes and raise their professional ability.
“This was my first time participating in Khanh Hoa billiards tournament. I was luckily to win two championships of two events. This tournament had a good preparation and professional quality, drawing many strong billiards players. I hope that the organization board will keep organizing this tournament, attracting more strong players nationwide to promote the development of this sport in Khanh Hoa”, Do Duc Hien (Can Tho) said after his double championships in one-cushion carom and three-cushion carom of team.
The billiard movement in Khanh Hoa Province has a quite strong development with the appearance of many clubs. Khanh Hoa has some players who are adequate for national billiards tournaments. However, there are too few opportunities for these players to exchange experience. Therefore, this tournament is really a good one for the billiards clubs in Khanh Hoa Province to learn and raise the professional ability.
