Reportedly, Dwight Yorke was not in the list of FIFA delegation to come to Vietnam this time. Therefore, his sudden appearance at the Gala Dinner introducing World Cup Trophy to football fans in Vietnam attracted the attention of the press and guests.
Dwight Yorke, nicknamed “The Smiling Assassin” in the football circuit, together with Andy Cole played an important role in guiding Manchester United to gain a unique treble of the Premiership title, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League in the 1998-1999 season.
