Eight years competing at professional playground
About ten years ago, Khanh Hoa’s volleyball almost disappeared on the volleyball’s map of Vietnam. Since it was invested by Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company, this sport has been revived with the name Sanest Khanh Hoa.

Receiving attention and investment from the provincial leaders and sponsors, Sanest Khanh Hoa began to play in the professional playground from 2006 and satisfied Khanh Hoa’s fans with its first championship at the national volleyball tournament of strong volleyball teams in 2008. Since then, Sanest Khanh Hoa has always been in top 4 of Vietnam’s strong volleyball teams.

According to Trieu Tu Thien, head coach of Sanest Khanh Hoa, the team is gradually rejuvenated. Most of the Sanest Khanh Hoa’s players now are the young ones who partly contributed to the achievement of the team in 2013 season, such as Van Phong, Thanh Phong, Ngoc Khang, Van Thanh.
Champion of beach volleyball
Although Khanh Hoa’s beach volleyball has just developed for three
recent
years, it is considered as the best team at the national beach volleyball tournaments. From 2011 till now, under the direction of coach Dinh Quoc Dien, Khanh Hoa’s beach volleyball has asserted its No.1 position in the domestic tournaments at both male and female events.

In 2012, the male athlete couple Nguyen Trong Quoc – Nguyen Thanh Vinh won three consecutive championships at the national tournaments and the first position in the Vietnam Volleyball Federation’s rankings. At women’s event, the Khanh Hoa’s couple Thanh Tram – Nguyen Thi Trong and Ngo Vo Thanh Loan – Tran Thi Nhung got the second and third positions after Hai Phong’s pair.
In 2013 season, Khanh Hoa’s beach volleyball achieved double championship at the national tournament with the excellent performances of Nguyen Trong Quoc – Vo Thanh Nhan and Ngo Vo Thanh Loan - Nguyen Thi Trong.

Reportedly, Khanh Hoa Province is one of the few provinces and cities in Vietnam which have both male and female beach volleyball team. With the good investment in facilities and athlete’s force, especially the young one, Khanh Hoa Province promises to become a strong training center of the country for volleyball in general and beach volleyball in particular.
