The 5th ASEAN Beach Games, taking place in June 2016, will be organized in three cities, including Nha Trang City, Da Nang City and Phan Thiet City (Binh Thuan Province). Reportedly, the opening and closing ceremony and most of the games are expectedly to be held in Nha Trang City.

The athletes will compete 12 out of 17 games in Nha Trang City, including volleyball, handball, basketball, foot volleyball, jet ski, wrestling, kabaddi, three-on-three volleyball, bodybuilding, athletics, pétanque and sepak takraw.
About 45 countries and territories in Asia with around 2,500 coaches, athletes and 1,000 officials, guests, etc. will attend the event.
