National badminton club tournament 2014 - Hai Yen Cup: Opportunity for Khanh Hoa badminton to exchange experience

With the participation of many professional players from the strong clubs and units across the country, the national badminton club tournament for the provinces, cities and departments 2014 was a good opportunity for Khanh Hoa badminton to learn and exchange experience.
 

With the participation of many professional players from the strong clubs and units across the country, the national badminton club tournament for the provinces, cities and departments 2014 was a good opportunity for Khanh Hoa badminton to learn and exchange experience.
 
This year’s national badminton club tournament for the provinces, cities and departments – Hai Yen Cup took place from April 19 to 24 at Khanh Hoa Provincial Sports Competition House. 276 athletes from over 30 provinces, cities and departments joined the sports event. The players, divided into four age groups, competed in five events: men’s single, women’s single, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
 
As the host, Khanh Hoa Province was favored to have the largest number of participating teams with seven clubs and one provincial badminton team.
 
According to Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and member of the organization board, although Khanh Hoa badminton was not highly evaluated in this sport, competing at this tournament which had the professionalism and high quality was a good opportunity Khanh Hoa’s badminton players to exchange and learn experience.

Reportedly, most of the medals of Khanh Hoa team came from the athletes aged from 31 to 55. Meanwhile, the young players were not competitive to the strong teams.
 
The 2014 national badminton club tournament for the provinces, cities and departments draw the participation of quite a lot of high-quality athletes who were bestowed veteran level and level-one title, such as Bui Quang Tuan and Le Ha Anh (veteran, Ciputra Hanoi Club), Ngo Viet Ngoc Huy (veteran, Thu Thien Hue Club), Nguyen Dinh Tuan Kiet (level-one title, Phu Tho Club) and Kim Thuan (level-one title, Military Club).
 
The joining of those professional athletes brought the spectators many attractive matches and helped them to have a comprehensive view of this sport.
 
It can be said that the good performances of the strong participating teams at this year’s tournament would help Khanh Hoa badminton in general and the provincial badminton team in particular to gain valuable experience for their training and competing process.
