Sanna Khanh Hoa wins championship at young volleyball tournament 2014. |
This was really a remarkable success of Khanh Hoa’s young volleyball because it had not gained any noticeable achievement after winning the championship in 2010 (ranked second in 2011 tournament, ranked seventh in 2012 and fourth in 2013).
At the 2014 tournament, the young volleyball team of Khanh Hoa Province once again stood on the top step of the podium after three seasons. At this tournament, Khanh Hoa team also had some important changes in the athlete force. Specifically, the teams recruited some new players from the other sports centers and provinces. Thanh Sang and Minh A were transferred from the National Sports Training Center 3; Minh Luan was recruited from Ca Mau Province. Other players named Thanh Phuong and Quoc Doan were also well trained and left a good mark at the 2014 tournament. Especially, young hitter Le Quang Doan of Sanna Khanh Hoa was voted as the most promising male athlete of the tournament.
These changes and achievements showed the efforts of Khanh Hoa’s young volleyball in building and consolidating the position of a strong volleyball center in Vietnam.
Every year, there are some young players of Khanh Hoa Province who are selected as the members of the national young volleyball team.
While the training for the young volleyball athletes has not been well invested and many volleyball centers in the country have had moderate activities, the foundation which Sanna Khanh Hoa has built is worth to be encouraged.
