With the careful preparation in organization together with the enthusiastic response of a large number of racers in the country, the 3rd Khanh Hoa Amateur Bicycle Race 2014, opening from July 5 to 7, promises to bring many attractiveness to the spectators.
In recent years, together with the strong development of the movement sports, the sport cycling in Khanh Hoa Province has had a positive evolution in both quality and quantity. That was clearly showed through the provincial movement cycling tournaments held twice or three times every year, such as Nha Trang City couple’s cycling race, provincial cycling tournament and Khanh Hoa Newspaper bicycle race.
The functional agencies have also created the most convenient conditions for the athletes, and offered good preparation for the tournaments, meeting the satisfaction of the organization boards of many professional cycling races like Binh Duong Television Cup and Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup, etc.

Reportedly, beside the purpose of creating a useful playground and promoting the development of the sport cycling movement, the upcoming amateur bicycle race aims to introduce and promote the civilized and friendly image of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa to the local and foreign tourists.
The athletes will be divided into age groups and compete in three individual events. Compared to previous years, the 2014 bicycle race receives the support from the sponsors which is expected to create the attractiveness for this year’s tournament.
According the organization board, the winner of each event will receive a bicycle worth VND30 million. The second and third prizes are from VND1 to 1,5 million. The quite big disparity in prizes between the first place and the two others promises many dramatic things.
Up to now, the preparation for the Khanh Hoa Amateur Bicycle Race 2014 has nearly completed. The tournament is expected to be joined by around 216 athletes from 34 clubs from the localities including Ho Chi Minh City, Vung tau, Quang Ngai, Daklak, Binh Dinh, Hanoi, Vinh Long, Da Nang, Ca Mau. Many clubs are joined by foreign athletes who are living and working in Vietnam, such as Bridgestone Club (seven foreign members), Chanh Vinh Long Gold Store Club (one foreign member) and Da Nang Bicycle Club (one foreign athlete). Some of those foreign athletes used to be professional ones competing in international competitions.
“This year’s cycling race has a thoughtful preparation for organization, safety and security compared to the previous years. Therefore, this will be a useful playground for this sport’s lovers,” said Vo Lang, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Sports Bike Association, Deputy Head of the organization board.
