Nha Trang swimming tournament: useful playground in summer for children

The Nha Trang swimming tournament 2014, held by Nha Trang Culture – Sports Center on August 23 at Yet Kieu Swimming Pool, is one of useful playground for children in the summer.

 

The tournament saw the attendance of over 100 players from communes, wards and schools in the city. The athletes were divided into four age groups and competed in two events: breaststroke and front crawl. This tournament was one of the sports ones held in the summer attracted the attention from the children and their parents. The strong competition among the athletes together with the tremendous cheer from the parents created a boisterous atmosphere at the competing area.

In the final match of 100m front crawl for girls aged from 2005, the athletes showed a strong determination when all of them finished the competition in just more than one minute with the gap of two to five seconds. Finally, Nguyen Ho Hien Anh (Vinh Phuong Commune) was the first finisher at 56:91; Tran Ngoc Gia Han finished second with a time of 1:00.54 while Nguyen Ngoc Phuong Anh (Van Thanh Ward) placed third at 1:02.15.

 

According to Le Cung Van, father of player Le Minh Khang who finished second in the final match of 100m front crawl for boys aged from 2005, holding regular sports classes and swimming tournaments in the summer for teenagers and children is a necessary and useful thing, helping to create an opportunity for them to exchange, enjoy jolly time and take physical exercise. This playground also helps to improve swimming skills and prevent drowning among teenagers and children.

 

Reportedly, the authorities in Khanh Hoa Province are now paying interest in implementing the plans to prevent drowning in children. In the context of difficult financial condition, the effort of Nha Trang Culture – Sports Center in maintaining swimming tournament for teenagers and children is really an encouraging one.
