Khanh Hoa has been considered as the cradle of beach football in Vietnam with many hallmarks. For example, Khanh Hoa was the champion at Vietnam's first beach football tournament which took place in Khanh Hoa Province. Khanh Hoa won the highest prize at the beach football tournament when it was first set up as a sport in the National Sports Festival. When the "real" national beach football team was officially formed, many Khanh Hoa's players were selected as key members of the team.

Khanh Hoa also showed its leading position in beach football when selected to represent Vietnam to compete at ASEAN and Asian beach football tournaments for many times.
Although there were periods of ups and downs, Khanh Hoa has been one of the places which have the strongest beach football development in Vietnam. In six times of joining the national beach football tournament, Khanh Hoa won three times, placed second for two times and ranked third for one time. Therefore, Khanh Hoa has always been mentioned first when referring to this sport.

At the first national beach football tournament held by Vietnam Football Federation in 2009 in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa beach football team performed superiority in quality to other teams, earning them a final victory.
In 2014, beach football was first set up as a sport in the National Sports Festival. Khanh Hoa was selected as the host of the beach football tournament and excellently overcame other rivals to bag the championship. This achievement became a hallmark of Khanh Hoa as the first beach football team gaining golden medal at the National Sports Festival.
According to Nguyen Nam Tien, assistant coach of national beach football team, in the past, the national team was in fact the local team chosen to represent Vietnam in the international tournaments. However, this year’s national team was gathered from the excellent players of the earlier seventh National Sports Festival. A part from two coaches, Khanh Hoa has six players selected for the national team.
Reportedly, the national team is taking a training course in Nha Trang City, lasting from September 15 to November 22.
It can be said that all those hallmarks show the position of Khanh Hoa in beach football in Vietnam.
