Khanh Hoa table-tennis Premiership: attractive at first time of organization


Although Khanh Hoa table-tennis Premiership is held for the first time, it is creating a strong attraction for this sport's lovers. This tournament is also an opportunity for young athletes in Khanh Hoa Province to gather experience and improve professional quality.

Although Khanh Hoa table-tennis Premiership is held for the first time, it is creating a strong attraction for this sport’s lovers. This tournament is also an opportunity for young athletes in Khanh Hoa Province to gather experience and improve professional quality.

Khanh Hoa table-tennis Premiership 2014, running from September 21 to December 21 at Khanh Hoa Provincial Sports Technique Training Center, is attended by over 80 athletes from 11 clubs of units, enterprises and localities in the province, including Huynh De Club, Phuong Son, Son Giang, Nha Trang, Museum, public security, Lac Hong, Salanganes Nest, BIDV, railway, and provincial Sports Training and Competing Center.

The tournament is set up in a round robin format. Each club will compete in seven matches of two events (single and couple) to select the champion.

“Although it is the first organization, Khanh Hoa table-tennis Premiership draws the attention of many table-tennis clubs and fans in the province. The tournament aims to help the table-tennis movement in Khanh Hoa to get more and more developed as well as help young athletes to learn and exchange with the older ones, preparing for the national tournaments,” said Nguyen Minh Dat, Deputy Director being in charge of speciality of provincial Sports Technique Training Center.

Reportedly, the special point of this tournament is that handicap is applied in case a higher ranking athlete competing with a lower ranking one. This helps the athletes who have lower professional quality to have more driving force to achieve victory. Thanks to this new point, the children athletes aged from 10 to 12 have opportunity to compete with the older ones.

The tournament gathers quite a lot of athletes, who were master and level-1 athletes, used to play for provincial table-tennis team, such as Luu Bich Hong, Luu Duc Thang, Trong Nghia and Nguyen Trung Kien.

With the participation of those strong athletes, Khanh Hoa table-tennis Premiership 2014 promises to bring audience high-quality matches.
