Vietnam’s female athlete Chau Tuyet Van successfully defended the championship of women’s team U30 category at WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships 2014 going on in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
The 9th championships attracts 461 athletes from 46 countries and territories over the world. Vietnam’s team including 29 athletes competes in 24 out of 36 events at this year’s championships, targeting at least two golden medals.

In the female team under 30 division, the trio of Vietnam, Chau Tuyet Van, Nguyen Thi Le Kim and Nguyen Thuy Xuan Linh, garnered 8,880 points for the gold medal.
Beside this golden medal, Vietnam’s team also won one silver and three bronzes.
Reportedly, this is the fourth golden medal of Chau Tuyet Van at the female team division.
