With regular playgrounds held for localities and clubs in the city, Nha Trang badminton movement has positively contributed to the development of sports in Khanh Hoa Province.
Nha Trang City is considered as a locality in Khanh Hoa Province which has a strong movement of badminton. This has been showed through the badminton tournaments at city level held annually as well as the participation of many Nha Trang’s athletes and clubs at the provincial open tournaments.

According to Nha Trang City Culture - Sports Center, the city now has around 25 badminton clubs with over 500 regular practisers. Many of those clubs have had effective activities, contributing to build up and promote the athletes' quality.
Reportedly, every year, Nha Trang City Culture - Sports Center regularly holds from two to three badminton tournaments in order to maintain the playground for the units and localities in the city.
The number of participants and the quality of the athletes joining those tournaments has positively changed year by year, creating a large attraction for both participants and audiences. Some localities which have had good investment in the athlete force and facilities are Loc Tho, Phuong Sai, Vinh Trung, Phuong Son, and so on. Through these tournaments, Nha Trang City has build up a force of quality players who are competitive for medals at the provincial or friendly tournaments.
In recent three years, Nha Trang badminton has always gained high achievements at the tournaments at the provincial level. For example, at the provincial badminton tournament for age groups 2013, Nha Trang team won 13 golden medals and five silvers. At the Khanh Hoa badminton clubs tournament taking place in October, 2014, Nha Trang’s badminton clubs showed excellent performances and overcame clubs from other localities to rank first, second and third place.
In the field of movement sports, Nha Trang badminton has taken steps in the right direction. Through the regularly-held tournaments, Nha Trang City has maintained practicing and competing activities among badminton clubs in the city as well as positively contributed to promote the quality of athletes.
