Khanh Hoa’s male volleyball team ended the 2013 season with almost no noticeable hallmark. However, in 2014, with the target of rebuilding their position, the volleyball team of the beach city made many efforts to have a successful season, bringing some positive signals to Khanh Hoa volleyball.

After an unsuccessful season, the team of coach Trieu Tu Thien made a careful preparation of both athlete force and quality. The team received the joining of hitter Tran Van Giap from Ho Chi Minh City Police team, outside hitter Truong Giang from Ben Tre. The key player Ngo Van Kieu also regained his form. These changes revived the position of Khanh Hoa volleyball shown through quite good achievements of Sanest Khanh Hoa at the two largest volleyball tournaments in 2014. Specifically, Sanest Khanh Hoa placed third and fourth at the National Volleyball Championship 2014 and the National Sports Festival, respectively.

Despite not winning the highest prize, these results have been considered as a steppingstone for Khanh Hoa’s indoor male volleyball team to improve achievements as well as further their position.

The form of key player Ngo Van Kieu played a significant part in helping Sanest Khanh Hoa’s players to feel quite secure. Kieu’s good performance at the 2014 season showed that his declining form in the last season was largely caused by his injury, not his age.

The 2014 season saw not only the improvement in position of Sanest Khanh Hoa but also good achievements of Sanna Khanh Hoa which left an impressive hallmark at the volleyball tournaments for young players.

At the national volleyball championship for young players taking place in Dak Lak in July, Sanna Khanh Hoa overcame many strong teams like The Cong, Tay Ninh, Hoa Binh, Hanoi to play against Military Zone 9 in the final. After three sets, Sanna Khanh Hoa oficially became new champion at this national tournament for young players.

The young team of the coastal province continued to assert themselves at the volleyball tournaments for young clubs 2014 held in November. Sanna Khanh Hoa showed excellent performances when defeating many rivals to enter the final. However, the unstableness in competition psychology caused the team to fail in gaining the championship. Nevertheless, that was also a remarkable achievement of Khanh Hoa volleyball.

Khanh Hoa has many volleyball players having asserted themselves in Vietnam’s volleyball map like Ngo Van Kieu, Tran Phuoc Dai, Diep Huu Gia, etc. With recent encouraging results, the young players of Khanh Hoa promise to bring new achievements to Khanh Hoa volleyball.
