In Khanh Hoa Province, the annually-held futsal tournament – Sanna Cup, sponsored by Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company, is an interesting playground for movement clubs. This year, this company did not organize this tournament as well as did not send representative team to join the tournament for some reasons.

In order to keep “the heat” for the futsal movement in the province, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the tournament with the support of the participating teams. Due to no sponsorship, the number of participants of this year’s tournament was less than previous years (six teams of localities and four teams of businesses); the prizes value also increased compared to other years.
Reportedly, the scanty funds caused some difficulties for both organization board and participating teams. Beside attendance fee, the teams also had to pay travel and accommodation expenses by themselves.
However, overcoming those difficulties, this year’s tournament showed the passion and strong development of futsal movement in the localities in the province. Specifically, the three among four semifinalists were teams from localities (Khanh Son, Van Ninh, Nha Trang). The semi final match saw an equal competition between Khanh Son team and team of Khanh Viet Corporation. The team from the mountainous district only lost to the rival in the penalty shootout with the score of 4-5. In the final, Van Ninh team defeated Nha Trang team to win the championship.
In the past, most of the districts’ movement teams taking part in the tournament only aimed for learning and exchanging experience. Therefore, the winning of Van Ninh team at the provincial futsal tournament 2015 could be considered as a good sign for this sport.
