There is more than one month left before the opening of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2015. Many sports activities which will take place during this year’s festival will partly contribute to popularize the image of the beautiful and hospitable beach city and its people.
In this year’s festival, the Sea Festival - Khanh Hoa golf open tournament will be held at Diamond Bay in July 11-12. This tournament is not only a playground for those who love this sport but also a chance for exchanging and promoting investment and economic development because most of the participants are businessmen.
The paragliding Khanh Hoa open tournament – CMC Cup, first held in Khanh Hoa, is a great opportunity to popularize the landscapes of Nha Trang through images seen from above. According to Nguyen Ngoc Thanh, chief executive director of CMC Construction Management Corporation, the main sponsor of the tournament, the paragliding pilots will compete at Chin Khuc Mountain (Vinh Thai Commune, Nha Trang) from July 9 to 11 and at Khanh Le Mountain Pass (Khanh Vinh District) in July 12-14.
Another salient sports event taking place during Sea Festival 2015 is the national yacht tournament. This tournament was held for the first time in 2013 and joined by 40 yacht racers, creating wonderful images on Nha Trang Bay. This year’s tournament also aims to prepare the athlete force for the national team at the fifth Asian Beach Games held in Vietnam. This attractive water sport promises to bring interesting moments to locals and tourists.
In the occasion of Sea Festival 2015, the second round of the national beach volleyball tournament will be held instead of the international women’s beach volleyball tournament. Reportedly, the second round of the national beach volleyball tournament, sponsored by Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company, will take place at beach volleyball court located at the south of Tran Phu Bridge from July 9 to 11.
In addition, there will be some sports activities held by Nha Trang City People’s Committee, such as cheerleading, joined by around 5,000 people, taking place at Tran Phu Street on July 10; fishing and releasing sea creatures contest on July 12; bamboo basket boat race expected to be held at the beach in front of 2-4 Square on July 14. Especially, everyone including tourists can take part in those activities.
It can be said that most of the sports activities held in the occasion of Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2015 play a role in promoting the images of the land of aloe wood and its people to domestic and international tourists.
