Tennis movement develops thanks to socialization

Through the form of socialization, the tennis movement in Khanh Hoa Hoa Province has received positive supports from organizations and businesses.

Through the form of socialization, the tennis movement in Khanh Hoa Hoa Province has received positive supports from organizations and businesses.


Tennis is one of few movement sports which have created attraction to the public. In recent years, tennis movement has showed some positive signs. Specifically, in recent five years, this sport has been practiced not only in districts, towns and cities but also in organizations and schools in the province. Every year, Khanh Hoa Province often sees more than 40 tennis tournaments held by industries, localities, organizations and businesses, etc., joined by hundreds of players of teams, clubs in and outside the province. This is an encouraging sign for the sport which used to be considered as a strong one of Khanh Hoa Province.

The businesses and sponsors with their contribution and supports have played a significant role in the development of tennis movement. Many movement tennis tournaments have been held at club level and provincial level in the formed of socialization, creating useful playgrounds and attracting a large number of sports lovers.


One of the most outstanding tournaments is Khanh Hoa tennis club open tournament – Me Trang Cup, which takes place in August every year. This is a semi-professional tournament which has been highly evaluated by the professionals. The tournament drew not only the participation of many strong athletes outside the province but also the attention of a lot of tennis fans in the Central – Highlands.


In 2014, 20-8 Tennis Club organized its first traditional tennis tournament, creating an interesting playground for over 80 players from 11 domestic and outside clubs. This tournament also saw the attendance of some Vietnam’s outstanding athletes, such as Linh Giang (ranks 7th nationally), Thanh Dong (ranks 11th nationally), etc.


Most recently, the first tennis tournament – Thep Viet My Cup, held in May, 2015, was joined by over 100 players.


Nguyen Van Hoa, former deputy director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and senior player at the provincial movement tennis tournament highly appreciated the positive contributions of businesses and sponsors to the development of tennis movement in the province.


Hopefully that through the movement tournaments held by the businesses and organizations, Khanh Hoa tennis will have a sustainable and strong development.
