First Vietnamese athlete wins ticket to 2016 Summer Olympics

Showing an excellent performance at the final match of women's 400m hurdles at SEA Games 28, Vietnamese athlete Nguyen Thi Huyen not only won the gold medal and broke the SEA Games' record but also grabbed the ticket to 2016 Summer Olympics, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Over coming Thailand’s strong athlete Winatho Wassana, Nguyen Thi Huyen finished first at 56.15 seconds. This achievement helped Huyen to meet the Olympics’ B standard and became the first Vietnamese athlete to attend 2016 Summer Olympics.
