Five years ago, Nha Trang was always considered as the leading locality in movement sports in Khanh Hoa Province. The city not only has many facilities for the people to do physical exercise but also is the place hosting many province-level sports events. Nha Trang City also has advantages over other localities in selecting and training athletes. Therefore, the beach city was always the unit which gained best achievements in all of the sports fields. This created a difference in skill between Nha Trang City and the other localities in Khanh Hoa.

However, as the living conditions are better, the need of physical exercising has increased and increasingly received more attention. Nowadays, some movement sports activities at the provincial level are organized at the districts, towns and remote areas, which have created good conditions and driving force for the development of sports movement in these localities.
In recent two years, although still having faced many financial difficulties, some districts and remote areas like Van Ninh, Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son, etc. have had a quite strong sports movement. The two mountainous districts, Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh, have showed a great development in the beach football movement. Despite the lack of facilities and other difficulties, the two localities often had team joining the provincial beach football tournaments held annually. Especially, at this year’s tournament, Khanh Vinh team overcame Nha Trang and Van Ninh to win the highest prize while Khanh Son team scooped the third prize.
In 2015, beside the beach football tournament, Nha Trang team, which included many outstanding futsal players, was also defeated by a district team (Van Ninh) at the provincial futsal tournament.
The good achievements of the teams from Van Ninh, Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh at the provincial futsal and beach football tournaments showed the positive signals of the sports movement activities in the province general and in the districts in particular.
