In its first time of organiation, the charity football tournament – SDC Cup, taking place in Nha Trang City from October 2 to 4, created a positive social effect.
The tournament, held by SDC, a company specializing in importing and distributing Thailand sports shoes, was attended by four young teams, including Sanna Khanh Hoa young team, Sanatech young team, Thanh Thanh team and ASIA Khanh Hoa team. The participating teams donated VND2 million to the children at Nha Trang SOS Children’s Village. The awards for the tournament’s winner were the trophy and medals.

Reportedly, all of the participating units were the ones having paid much attention on training young players and often joined movement tournaments in the province. For example, the line-up of two young teams of Sanna Khanh Hoa and Sanatech included young players of U15 and U17 of Sanna Khanh Hoa futsal team. Therefore, although this was just a spontaneous movement tournament, the professional quality was quite high. Besides, the joining of strong teams of movement football made the tournament more attractive and brought the attractiveness to the audience.
At the end of the tournament, Sanatech young team scooped the final victory; ASIA Khanh Hoa placed second; Thanh Thanh ranked third.
After the tournament, the organization board of the tournament gave VND8 million to Nha Trang SOS Children’s Village. “The donation from the organization board is a meaningful present for the children in the village. The money will help us to make better investments in sports activities for the children,” said Le Hung Nghe, Director of Nha Trang SOS Children’s Village.
