As usual, Nha Trang football championship 2015, being carried out from September 14 to 30, included 16 teams from the localities in the city. Most of teams were representatives of the localities which have quite strong development of football movement, such as Tan Lap, Loc Tho, Phuong Son, Phuong Sai and Vinh Hai.

Reportedly, this year’s tournament saw an equality of professional quality of teams. This showed that the teams made a better investment and preparation for the tournament.
At the tournament, with the enthusiastic cheer from the audience, the teams showed a high determination and strong competition. Tan Lap, the present champion, joined the tournament with some familiar players with Khanh Hoa’s football fans, including Le Kim Tuan (used to be member of the national beach football team and Khanh Hoa Provincial futsal team) and Le Cong Quoc (used to play for Khatoco Khanh Hoa). Tan Lap team easily overcame many rivals and defeated Loc Tho team in the penalty shootout in the final, defending their champion title.
“This is the third time I has taken part in the tournament. Although it is just a movement one for the communes and wards, it was prepared quite well. I hope that the tournament will keep being maintained in order to create a useful playground for people who love football as well as to contribute to promote the football movement in the city and province,” said Le Cong Quoc.
According to Huynh Tuan Thanh, Director of Nha Trang Culture – Sports Center, it is difficult to organize a movement tournament and it is even more difficult to maintain and increase the quality of that tournament. Under the financial difficulty, the supports from the sponsors like Khanh Hoa Mineral Water Joint Stock Company (Vikoda) have played an important part in maintaining Nha Trang movement football tournament has been held for nearly ten years.
