On December 8, the players took part in the last day of swimming at the swimming pool of the Telecommunication University. The athletes of schools in Nha Trang, Ninh Hoa and Cam Ranh were the most competitive ones in this event. Most of the finalists were from these three units. Finally, in the women’s free style of elementary pupils, two players of Nha Trang unit finished first and second at 1:33.74 and 1:40.99. The final of women’s 4x100m relay saw a nail-biting game between Cam Ranh unit and Nha Trang unit. The players of Cam Ranh led the race in most of the time. However, after all, Le Hong Hanh of Nha Trang unit brought the audience surprise with her excellent at the final stage and won the gold medal.

The other sports like football, basketball and volleyball are carried out at Nha Trang Sports Training and Competing Center. The football event for junior high schools ran from December 2 to 7 with the participation of six teams of Nha Trang, Ninh Hoa, Cam Ranh, Cam Lam, Khanh Vinh and Dien Khanh. Nha Trang and Dien Khanh were the two teams which were the most competitive for the gold medal. Each team had eight points after four matches. In their final match, both two teams won 3-2 over their rival. Finally, Dien Khanh team achieved gold medal thanks to the coefficient goals.

The other sports such as shuttle cock, athletics and table-tennis were held at the provincial Sports Technique Training Center and Competition House of Khanh Hoa University. Through the competitions, the organization board also selected many outstanding players for the provincial team to join the national Phu Dong Sports Festival taking place in March next year.
In can be said that the provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival has become a sports festival for pupils in the province. Beside creating a useful playground for the pupils, the festival is also an opportunity for the sports sector to look for excellent young players.
