At the end of the 2015 Khanh Hoa provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival, Nha Trang City Education and Training Bureau topped the festival in both sections of achievement and overall scores of the players who are from elementary schools and junior high schools. Specifically, in the events for pupils of elementary schools (seven events) and junior high schools (eleven events), Nha Trang unit gained 74 gold medals, 53 silver ones and 35 bronze ones. Besides, Nha Trang unit also got encouraging results in some events for players of high schools, such as swimming, table-tennis and badminton. Finishing the festival, two high schools of Nha Trang, Ly Tu Trong High School and Le Quy Don High School, placed first and third respectively.

According to Le Quy Hung, officer at Nha Trang City Education- Training Bureau, right at the beginning of the school year, under the direction of the city the bureau, the Phu Dong Sports Festival at school-level and city-level was organized in order to prepare for the provincial-level Phu Dong Sports Festival.
Reported, most of schools in the city have carried out well the exercise program in schools with increasingly improved facilities, meeting the needs for recreation and exercise of the pupils. In addition, some schools associated with units, localities and individuals to hold sports and exercise classes, attracting a larger number of pupils. These activates contributed much in helping the city to train and select outstanding players to join the provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival. At the 2015 festival, the swimming team of Nha Trang City won an overwhelming victory in the swimming event for elementary pupils and ranked first with seven gold medals out of eight medal sets. This achievement was partly thanks to the swimming classes jointly held in recent three years by Nha Trang City Communist Youth Union, the city Sports Training and Competing Center and Yet Kieu Swimming Pool.
Ninh Hoa Town Education- Training Bureau has also been evaluated as one of the strong units at the provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival. At the 2015 festival, Ninh Hoa unit had 105 medals of all kinds (35 golds, 30 silvers and 40 bronzes), finished second for the whole group. The athletics was still the strong point of Ninh Hoa, earning the team 22 medals in 22 events for players of elementary schools and junior high schools. In the athletics event for pupils of high schools, players of Ninh Hoa also performed excellently to help their teams to place second and third in the medal table.
Khanh Hoa provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival 2015 also saw the efforts of pupils in Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh in the events of rod pushing, women’s volleyball, men’s football, etc.
Reportedly, in order to prepare for the upcoming national Phu Dong Sports Festival, Khanh Hoa’s sports delegation will focus investment on the sports which have been considered as the strength of the province at the level of elementary school and junior high school, such as aerobic, shuttle cock kicking, table-tennis and badminton.
