Although it is just a small-scale tournament, Nha Trang City badminton tournament for teenagers and children has been contributing positively to develop the city’s badminton movement thanks to the regular organization.

The tournament is organized every two or three months by the funds contributed by the players and their parents. It originated from an internal tournament to check the quality of the athletes who are badminton learners at Nha Trang Sports Training and Competing Center.

According to Tran Tung Han, Deputy Director of Nha Trang Center of Culture and Sports, the regular maintenance of this tournament has showed the interest of many people towards the city’s sports movement in general and badminton movement in particular. It has also helped the city to build up teams of young and competent players to take part in the provincial- and regional-level tournaments.
