Challenge Family to be held in Nha Trang

According to a recent written consent of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, Nha Trang City People’s Committee, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Pulse Active will jointly organize an international-level sports event called Challenge Vietnam.

Challenge Family is a global long distance triathlon series, first held in Roth (Germany) in 2002. Challenge Family now includes 40 races on four continents. Nha Trang is the latest race destination of Challenge Family with the name Challenge Vietnam, expected to kick off in September 11.

 

Reportedly, the race aims to promote the sports and exercise activities and raise the awareness of healthy lifestyle in the community. This is also a good opportunity for the local tourism industry to popularize the local beauties to the visitors everywhere. Additionally, the race promises to create a memorable spectator experience for the athletes who want to express themselves and push the limits of their bodies.

 

According to organizing unit, during Challenge Vietnam, the beach city will receive over 650 athletes and more than 2,000 international and domestic visitors. The athletes can participate in the race either as individual or as part of a relay team. Challenge Vietnam has three events: 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride and 21km run.

 

Vo Ngoc Hung, Vice Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the department will give best supports to ensure good conditions for the athletes during the race. The fact that Challenge Vietnam is held in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa promises to promote the local sports and tourism activities and help the province to learn experience in organizing a large-scale sports event.
