Specifically, in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Children’s House opened many summer sports classes, including karate, taekwondo, traditional martial arts, badminton, football, basketball, etc., attracting a larger number of learners. As for basketball, at present, the Children’s House has six classes of this sport with more than 160 practisers.

At Nha Trang Sports Training and Competing Center, there are also many sports classes opening in the summer, teaching basketball, football, volleyball, badminton, chess, archery, table-tennis, aerobic, swimming and martial arts. Until now, around 1,000 children are practicing at these classes.

The summer activities in Ninh Hoa Town have also carried out actively. The town Center of Culture and Sports opened classes of football, badminton and martial arts for more than 700 children. Specially, about 200 teenagers and children are taught swimming skills right at the swimming pool of the center.

At he same time, the deficiencies in financial resources and facilities in many hamlets and communes in Khanh Hoa Province have caused the lack of summer playgrounds for the children in these localities.

According to Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Deputy Director of Ninh Hoa Town Culture - Sports Center, although there have been reserved land for the construction of cultural and sports projects, the limited budget have caused the localities to face many difficulties in implementing the projects. Therefore, until the present, there has been only one locality which built the cultural – sports center and organized activities for the children.

In fact, Khanh Hoa Province’s authorities have always been concerned with building and creating useful playgrounds for the children across the province. The provincial People’s Committee has requested the localities to allocate the funds and mobilize the resources from the organizations and individuals to invest in the works for children, especially schools, boarding houses, facilities, and playgrounds. The localities need to actively initiate the projects to meet the children’s needs of studying and playing.
