Sanna Khanh Hoa will take part in AFC Futsal Club Championship 2016 for the first time as the present champion of Vietnam's national futsal championship 2015. The appearance of Sanna Khanh Hoa at the championship shows a noticeable progress of Khanh Hoa's futsal team although the team is not highly evaluated at such a large-scale playground which is the convergence of the strongest futsal teams in Asia.

AFC Futsal Club Championship 2016 is slated to take place in Bangkok (Thailand) in July 15-23. Twelve participating teams will be divided into four three-team groups. The first-placed and second-placed teams in each group will qualify to the knock-out round.
Sanna Khanh Hoa is in group D with Al Sadd SC (Qatar) and Taipower FC (Chinese Taipei). Sanna Khanh Hoa is evaluated to be competitive with these two rivals; therefore, coach Dang Dinh Khang of Sanna Khanh Hoa set the target to reach the quarterfinal round.
Arriving in Thailand in early July, Sanna Khanh Hoa has had three practice matches against strong teams of Thailand. These practice matches have been considered as the precious ones for the futsal team of Khanh Hoa because they have not had much experience playing at the international playgrounds.
Reportedly, this is the second time Sanna Khanh Hoa has joined an international tournament. In 2015, with two losses and two ties, the team did not pass the group stage of AFF Futsal Club Championship 2015 held in Thailand. Therefore, at present, Sanna Khanh Hoa can not be competitive with other teams at this year’s AFC Futsal Club Championship in term of experience. Additionally, Sanna Khanh Hoa could not recruited foreign athletes as they planned to prepare for the championship. Consequently, some outstanding athletes of Sanna Tech Khanh Hoa were recruited in order to intensify the team’s strength.
In 2015, Thai Son Nam futsal team represented Vietnam at the 2015 AFC Futsal Club Championship and created a new hallmark for Vietnamese futsal at the club level when they won the bronze medal. This has been also the best achievement of Vietnam’s futsal until the present. According to the professionals, it is quite difficult for Sanna Khanh Hoa to gain such a good achievement as Thai Son Nam did because the team of the coastal province has still been a relatively young team compared to Thai Son Nam.
Hopefully, the athletes of Sanna Khanh Hoa will play with excellent form at the 2016 AFC Futsal Club Championship to assert their stable development.
