According to Nguyen Hai Son, an official of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, there were too many teams registering for Saigon Beer Cup; therefore, the organization board had to select teams basing on their contributions to the province’s mini football movement. The selected teams sent their most outstanding players to the tournament, resulting in the good quality of the matches.

The tournament, jointly held by D.C.E Event Company and Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was a straight knock-out. Therefore, all matches were played with the strongest competition and highest determination of the players, which made each game to take place with an exciting atmosphere of a final.
C-Casa Hotel Nha Trang and Khatoco overcame many strong opponents to enter the final game. C-Casa Hotel Nha Trang led by 1 goal to nil in most of the time but Khatoco surprisingly leveled the score in the last minutes and finally won the cup in the penalty shoot-out. Both teams will represent Khanh Hoa in the final round of the National Movement Mini Football Tournament – Saigon Beer Cup 2016, joined by 22 teams of 11 provinces, held at 2-4 Square, Nha Trang City in October 2-5.

Reportedly, Saigon Beer Cup is rated as the present superlative movement playground in Vietnam. The tournament, exclusively sponsored by Saigon Beer offers the high-value prizes compared to other movement football tournaments. Beside many gifts, the winner of the regional tournament is awarded VND40 million while the teams finishing second, third and fourth will be given VND20 million, VND10 million and VND5 million, respectively.

It was said by Vo Ngoc Hung, Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, that in recent years, the mini football movement of Khanh Hoa Province has strongly developed with the tournaments are organized every year, which has contributed positively to the sports movement of the province.
