The leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reckoned that it requires both state budget and financial supports from the sponsors to develop well the province’s sports. The financial assistance from the businesses has given much encouragement to the athletes. Additionally, thanks to these supports, the parks in Nha Trang City have been fitted up with free sports equipment to serve the need for exercise of the citizens and tourists.
According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the 2011-2015 period, the province’s sports industry received the financial supports from Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company for football teams (Sanna Khanh Hoa – Bien Vietnam, U21, U11) and volleyball teams (indoor, beach). Accordingly, apart from the payment and allowance being given according to the state’s regulation, the teams received a support worth more than VND5.5 billion each year (VND26 billion in 2014, VND41 billion in 2015).
In fact, the supports from Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company partly helped the province’s sports teams to have opportunities to join and gain many good achievements in the professional and junior tournaments at national level. For example, in 2016, Sanna Khanh Hoa – Bien Vietnam joined V-League 2016 and was given fair-play prize; Sanna Khanh Hoa volleyball team won the third consecutive trophy at the national junior volleyball tournament; Sanest Khanh Hoa volleyball team scooped Hung Vuong Cup and PV Dam Ca Mau Cup.
However, in the provincial sports industry’s draft for the 2016-2020 period, the detail plan for promoting socialization of other sports has not been stated. In the latest meeting with the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen Dac Tai, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, directed that the sports industry needs to take the initiative in making and implementing the plans to attract the investigation of the businesses for the development of high-achievement sports.
