This year, Khanh Hoa and Ha Tinh are the venue of the second round, final round and ranking round of the PV GAS National Volleyball Championship. Specifically, in the second round, five male teams (Sanest Khanh Hoa, the Fourth Corps – Becamex, Ben Tre, The Cong 15th Corps, Long An) and five female teams (Vietinbank, VTV Binh Dien Long An, Vinh Phuc, Quang Binh, Tan Binh Ho Chi Minh City) of group A will compete at Khanh Hoa Provincial Sports Competition House. At the same time, the teams of group B will play in Ha Tinh. The second round is slated to take place from December 4 to10. After that, in December 14-18, the teams qualifying for men’s final round and women’s ranking round will meet in Khanh Hoa while the ones joining women’s final round and men’s ranking round will gather in Ha Tinh.
Reportedly, Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism invested more than VND1 billion to improve the facilities of the provincial Competition House in order to meet the requirements of the tournament.
At present, the players of Sanest Khanh Hoa are back in Nha Trang after a long training course in Ho Chi Minh City and Ben Tre. As reported by Trieu Tu Thien, coach of Sanest Khanh Hoa, the team has been in good form despite some minor injuries. Most of the key players like Ngo Van Kieu, Tu Thanh Thuan, Thanh Phong, Thien Men, Trung Truc and Quoc Doan are showing high determination and eagerness to bring the spectators good performances. The team is considered as a bright candidate for the final victory after their excellence at the first round, Hung Vuong Cup and Dam Ca Mau Cup.
For the volleyball lovers in Nha Trang, the 2016 PV GAS National Volleyball Championship is a large-scale sports event worth waiting for. The fact that the tournament is organized in Nha Trang gives them opportunity to watch attractive competitions of strong volleyball teams across the country.
