The fact that Sanest Khanh Hoa had a hard time facing the Fourth Corps – Becamex almost surprised both professionals and volleyball fans. This is because the team from the coastal province had been holding advantage in terms of athletes and achievements compared to their opponent. Although the Fourth Corps – Becamex has been a quite strong team at the national volleyball tournaments, they have never overcome Sanest Khanh Hoa in any match. Most lately, in the first round of this national championship, the representative team of the Army lost 1-3 to Sanest Khanh Hoa.
In their second clash, the Fourth Corps – Becamex played with their strongest athletes, such as outside hitter Dang Long Kiem, setter Hoai Phuong, Van Hanh, Van Duc, and libero Nguyen Van Sang. In the circumstance where the Fourth Corps – Becamex was being expected to be the winner of the match, Trieu Tu Thien, coach of Sanest Khanh Hoa, made some changes in the line-up and way of playing. Since the third set, the players of Sanest Khanh Hoa regained their strength and spirit and started to control the game, making the game to be more and more intense. Finally, with a high determination, Sanest Khanh Hoa made an amazing comeback and won over the opponent 3-2.
“The match is really exciting and dramatic. I did not think that Sanest Khanh Hoa could win this match after losing 0-2. The players showed great spirit of competition,” said a spectator.
