The qualifying round of the tournament saw the attendance of five teams, including Saigon FC, Hoang Thu Da Nang, Hai Phuong Nam Phu Nhuan, Sanest Tourist Khanh Hoa and Kim Toan Da Nang, in which the last two are the newcomers.
After eight matches, Saigon FC, Hoang Thu Da Nang, Hai Phuong Nam Phu Nhuan and Sanest Tourist Khanh Hoa qualified for the finals, taking place at the Military Zone 7 (Ho Chi Minh City), from April 8 to 26.
