On May 24, a ceremony was held at the multifunctional sports hall of Khanh Hoa University to offer judo mats and judogi of Japan Judo Federation to Khanh Hoa’s Youth Judo Center.
Attending the ceremony were Kunio Umeda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam; Nguyen Duy Bac, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of the provincial departments and more than 50 judokas of Khanh Hoa’s Youth Judo Center.
At the ceremony, the ambassador of Japan expressed his pleasure and wished that the cooperative and friendly relations between the two governments as well as between Japan Judo Federation and Vietnam Judo Federation will be further strengthened.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Government of Japan and Japan Judo Federation, Ambassador Kunio Umeda presented judo mats and 50 judo uniforms to the representative of Khanh Hoa’s Youth Judo Center.
After the ceremony, the ambassador and representatives of Japan Judo Federation took part in some exchanging activities at the sports hall.
Reportedly, this was an activity within the international cooperation program between Japan and Vietnam in general and Khanh Hoa in particular in the fields of politics, economy, culture and sports.
