The track and field athletes were the first ones earning gold medals for Khanh Hoa’s sports. At the 2017 athletics tournament held in Ba Ra Mountain (Binh Phuoc Province) at the beginning of the year, Khanh Hoa’s athletes won one gold medal and one bronze medal, helping Khanh Hoa’s team to place third on the medal rankings.

Following the achievement of the provincial track and field team, the taekwondo athletes of Khanh Hoa gained encouraging results at the domestic and international tournaments. Specifically, Khanh Hoa’s players got 18 medal sets at the national taekwondo tournaments for pupils. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy of Khanh Hoa secured a bronze at the 2017 Southeast Asian Taekwondo Championship.
Khanh Hoa has still been among the strong youth football training centers in Vietnam. In the professional playground, Sanna Khanh Hoa-Bien Vietnam (Sanna KH-BVN) has surprised other teams in V-League 2017. With six wins, five draws and two losses, Sanna KH-BVN finished the first leg at the third position. The most noticeable thing of Sanna KH-BVN after matches is the solidarity, endless efforts and spiritual strength.
The team of the coastal province has never been a rich team to be competitive in the transfer market. Sanna KH-BVN started the season off at the same level with some not-quite-strong teams like Long An, Can Tho and Song Lam Nghe An. However, after the first leg, Sanna KH-BVN has had a high position on the rankings together with the candidates for the championship, Hanoi and FLC Thanh Hoa, while those teams have still struggled to not be relegated.
In volleyball, Sanest Khanh Hoa has still maintained its position at the top of domestic playground. The players of Sanest Khanh Hoa overcame all opponents in the first leg of the 2017 national volleyball championship; qualified for Hung Vuong Cup and then scooped the second consecutive cup. This achievement marked the progress of Sanna KH-BVN after they made changes to the way of playing. They improved the shortcoming of the receiver-attackers and did not depend too much on the outside hitters. The excellence of outside hitters Ngo Van Kieu and Tu Thanh Thuan together with the progress of young hitter Duong Van Tien and setters Van Viet and Xuan Tan also contributed to the recent impressive achievements of Sanest Khanh Hoa.
Khanh Hoa’s beach volleyball also got good results at the first tour of the national beach volleyball championship held recently in Quang Binh Province. The beach volleyball players of Khanh Hoa won five out of six medals and were voted as the most excellent athletes in men’s and women’s event.
These achievements have created momentum for Khanh Hoa’s sports and are expected to be a boost for the province’s sports to reach a higher level.
