After the China F12 Futures (July 10-16) where Nam qualified for the quarter finals, he earned three points, increasing his points to 81. This result helped Nam to overcome Christopher Rungkat of Indonesia (79 points) to be the current No. 1 tennis player in Southeast Asia.

Next, Nam planed to take part in a professional tournament in Thailand before joining SEA Games 29. Reportedly, Christopher Rungkat won men’s singles in three consecutive SEA Games while Nam has never succeeded at this regional sport festival.
