The 50th anniversary of formation and development of the Central vovinam was celebrated at Khanh Hoa Provincial Sports Competition House on August 13.
Present at the ceremony were the representatives of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, Vietnam Vovinam Federation, Council of masters of vovinam together with more than 200 vovinam practitioners of vovinam federations and associations from Kon Tum, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan Gia Lai, Dak Nong, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Thua Thien – Hua, and Khanh Hoa.

At the ceremony, the attendees reminisced about the process of formation and development of vovinam. Over 50 years, vovinam in the Central has developed strongly with 260 clubs, 500 masters and over 15,000 regular practitioners.

Also at the ceremony, the practitioners performed typical techniques of vovinam.

On this occasion, the masters and practitioners attaining good results in the intermediate contest and have actively contributed to the development of vovinam were offered crystal plaques and were promoted to higher ranks.
