The Khanh Hoa Union of Friendship Organizations held a friendship volleyball tournament at Telecommunications University on September 9 in order to mark the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962 – September 5, 2017) and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations (June 24, 1967 – June 24, 2017).

Participating in the friendship tournament were eight representative teams from the military academies of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Finally, Vietnam Naval Academy won first prize; Cambodia Naval Academy got second prize; Vietnam Air Defence – Air Force Academy and Cambodia Air Force Academy tied for third place.
