Specifically, at the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) being currently held in Turkmenistan, Grandmaster Le Quang Liem won a gold in Standard Individual; Vietnamese cueist Nguyen Quoc Nguyen achieved a gold medal (the ninth gold of Vietnam sports delegation at AIMAG) in Men’s Carom 3 Cushion Singles.
 
At the ongoing World Taekwondo Grand Prix in Morocco, Truong Thi Kim Tuyen of Vietnam got a silver in Female -49kg category.

At the AFF Awards taking place at Indonesia on September 23, Vietnam’s football was given four awards, including “Assistant Referee of the Year (Women)” (Truong Thi Le Trinh), “Young Player of the Year” (Doan Van Hau), “Member Association of the Year”, “Coach of the Year (Women)” (Mai Duc Chung). Nguyen Trong Hoang, who is playing for FLC Thanh Hoa, was named in the list of AFF Best XI.
