The crossbow shooting and rod pushing competition within the framework of Khanh Hoa’s Eighth Physical Training and Sports Festival kicked off at the provincial Sports Competition House on September 8.
Taking part in the competition are more than 100 players from Nha Trang, Cam Ranh, Dien Khanh, Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh, Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa and provincial Youth Union.
Reportedly, the organization committee has kept including these two sports in the programs of the provincial Physical Training and Sports Festival although they have been not practiced widely in Khanh Hoa in order to conserve the cultural features of the ethnic groups in the province.
